Arabic Pistachio Ghribah Cookies
Ingredients
- 3 cups flour
- 1 cup ghee
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons rose water
- 1/2 cup pistachios
Preparation
Heat the oven to 150°C and prepare shallow-edged trays.
In a mixer bowl, place flour and ghee, attach the mixing beater, and run on low speed until the ingredients combine.
Add the sugar and continue mixing.
Add the rose water gradually and mix until a cohesive and soft dough forms.
Place the dough in a dish, take small pieces, roll them between your palms, shape them like a pen, then join the ends to form a ring.
Place the shaped cookies on the tray with space between each piece.
Place half a pistachio on the edge of each cookie and press lightly to secure.
Bake for 8 minutes until the bottom is light golden.
Leave the cookies in the trays until completely cool, then transfer to a serving dish.
