Vegan Falafel Smash Burger
Ingredients
- 2 cups chickpeas (soaked overnight & drained, not boiled!)
- 1/2 onion
- Handful cilantro
- 3 cloves garlic
Seasoning
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp ground cumin
- 1 tbsp turmeric
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp coriander seeds
Toppings
- Vegan cheese
- Hummus
- Lettuce
- Tomato
- Onion
- Pickles
Preparation
Add all the ingredients for the falafel to a food processor and blend until smooth.
Form balls from the mixture.
Add oil to the pan and heat to medium high.
Add the falafel balls to the pan.
Flatten the patties all the way down using parchment paper.
Flip when the bottom is brown.
Add cheese to the burger and let it melt by covering the pan with a lid.
Toast the buns in the same pan.
Build the burger with your favorite toppings.
