Vegan Kidney Bean Burger Patties
Ingredients
- 2 cans of kidney beans
- 7 tablespoons oat flakes
- 1 large onion
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1.5 teaspoons Chili con Carne spice (or use smoked bell pepper instead)
- 1 can of sweet corn (about 200g)
- 2 tablespoons of starch (e.g. corn)
- 2 tablespoons plant oil
- salt and pepper to taste
- tabasco sauce (optional)
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil for the pan
Preparation
Heat coconut oil in a non-stick pan and fry onions until they are brownish.
Set aside a handful of beans and a handful of corn.
Mix the remaining ingredients in a blender.
Use your hands to mix in the reserved beans and corn.
Divide the mixture into eight equal balls and form them into patties.
Fry the patties on each side for a few minutes in the pan until done.
