Falafel with Spices and Chickpeas

Ingredients

  • 200g chickpeas
  • 1/2 onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cilantro
  • 1/2 tsp natron
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Preparation

  1. Cut onions and garlic as small as possible.

  2. Mix everything into a food processor until you get a sticky dough.

  3. Do not over mix it.

  4. Shape the mixture into small balls or patties.

  5. Heat up a pan, add 2 tablespoons of oil and fry the falafels for 3 minutes on each side.

  6. Serve and enjoy.

  1. Adding cinnamon enhances the flavor and is a key component of this recipe.
