Homemade Avocado Hummus Dip

Ingredients

  • 1 15 oz can of chickpeas, rinsed and drained
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons tahini
  • 2 small garlic cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin
  • 1-2 tablespoons hot water
  • 2 small avocados, halved, pitted, and peeled
  • 2 tablespoons cilantro

Preparation

  1. Combine all ingredients except hot water in a food processor or blender.

  2. Blend until smooth, adding hot water as needed to achieve desired consistency.

  3. Stir in cilantro or blend briefly if a smoother texture is preferred.
