Spicy Tamarind Barramundi Stew

Ingredients

Spice paste

  • 3 shallots
  • 2 red chilies
  • Bird's eye chilies to taste
  • Turmeric powder
  • Shrimp paste
  • 1 lemongrass stalk

Main

  • Water
  • 1/2 pineapple
  • 1 barramundi fish
  • 1 tablespoon tamarind paste
  • Salt
  • Sugar
  • 1 lime
  • Water spinach

Preparation

  1. Blend the spice paste ingredients finely.

  2. Add the blended spice paste and water to a pot.

  3. Add the pineapple.

  4. When the mixture boils, add tamarind paste and fish.

  5. Season with salt, sugar, and lime juice.

  6. Add water spinach.

  7. The dish is ready to serve.
