Spicy Indonesian Fish with Red Sauce
Ingredients
- 7-8 pieces salem fish
- Lime juice
Spices to grind
- 9 shallots
- 3 garlic cloves
- 5 large red chilies
- 3 candlenuts
- Bird's eye chilies (optional)
- Salt to taste
- Sugar to taste
- Shrimp paste (a little)
Preparation
Clean the fish and rub with lime juice, then fry until cooked.
Grind the spices into a paste.
Sauté the ground spices until fragrant.
Add the fried fish to the pan.
Add a little water and cook briefly until the spices are absorbed.
Adjust seasoning to taste and serve.
