Spicy Indonesian Fish Stir-Fry
Ingredients
- Fried layang fish
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- Seasoning to taste
- Cooking oil to taste
Sliced spices
- 2 large green tomatoes, sliced
- 4 large green chilies, sliced diagonally
- 2 shallots, sliced
- 2 garlic cloves, sliced
Ground spices
- 20 bird's eye chilies or more
- 5 shallots
- 2 garlic cloves
Preparation
Sauté the ground spices and sliced spices until fragrant and cooked.
Add salt, seasoning, sugar, and a little water, stir well, and bring to a boil.
Add the fried fish and turn it over until the spices are evenly distributed.
Taste and adjust seasoning, then turn off the heat, remove from stove, and serve.
Tips
This recipe uses small layang fish, but you can also use other fish like tongkol, selar, or kembung.
