Stir-Fried Mackerel with Green Chilies

Ingredients

  • 2 packets mackerel (6 pieces)
  • 1 egg
  • Green onions
  • Stink beans, 1/2 bunch
  • Cooking oil, as needed

Spices

  • Green chilies, a handful
  • Shallots, 8 cloves
  • Garlic, 4 cloves
  • Stock powder
  • Sugar, as needed

Preparation

  1. Soak mackerel in hot water for 15 minutes, then shred and remove innards.

  2. Sauté garlic and shallots until wilted, then add green chilies.

  3. After all spices are slightly wilted, add shredded mackerel and egg, stir, add stock powder and sugar, check taste.

  4. Finally, add stink beans and green onions.

  5. Ready to serve.

Notes

  1. Intentionally not using salt because the saltiness comes from the mackerel.
