Sweet and Sour Crab
Ingredients
- 500 grams crab
- 1/2 onion, sliced
- 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
- 1 corn cob, cut into 5 pieces
- 1/2 carrot, thinly sliced
- 1 green onion
- 2 red chilies, sliced diagonally
- 200 ml water
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon margarine
- 2 tablespoons cooking oil
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 5 tablespoons tomato sauce
- 2 tablespoons chili sauce
- 1 tablespoon sweet soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
Ground spices
- 2 shallots
- 2 cloves garlic
- 3 red chilies
Preparation
Brush the crab body, then wash it clean and boil briefly until it changes color, then set aside
Heat the cooking oil and margarine
Sauté the onion and garlic until fragrant
Add the ground shallots, garlic, and chilies, cook until changed color
Add carrot, corn, and water, cook until tender
Add the boiled crab, stir until well mixed
Add tomato sauce, chili sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, salt, sweet soy sauce, ground pepper, and lime juice; stir until well combined
Taste and adjust seasoning, if it's right, move the crab to the side of the pan, then add the egg while stirring continuously until it forms threads
Once the egg is thread-like, stir evenly with the crab
Finally, add the sliced red chilies and green onion, stir again, then turn off the heat
Ready to serve warm

Choose live crab to ensure the meat is sweet and not fishy
