Spicy Salted Fish with Green Chilies

Ingredients

  • 6 pieces salted fish
  • 200 grams white tofu
  • 5 green chilies
  • 15 bird's eye chilies
  • 8 shallots
  • 5 cloves garlic
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 slices galangal
  • 2 tablespoons fiber creme
  • 400 ml water
  • Sugar to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Stock powder to taste
  • 3 tablespoons cooking oil

Preparation

  1. Wash the salted fish cleanly, remove the head and gut, then fry briefly and drain.

  2. Heat oil, sauté shallots and garlic until fragrant, add galangal and bay leaves, and sauté briefly.

  3. Add water, sugar, salt, and stock powder, and stir briefly.

  4. Finally, add salted fish, fiber creme, tofu, green chilies, and bird's eye chilies, stir briefly, let the spices infuse and the sauce reduce a bit, taste, and remove from heat.
