Stir-Fried Green Beans with Anchovies

Ingredients

  • 200 grams young green beans
  • 2 tablespoons fried Medan anchovies
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 5 shallots
  • Red chilies and bird's eye chilies to taste
  • Stock powder to taste
  • Sugar to taste

Preparation

  1. Wash the green beans thoroughly and drain until dry.

  2. Heat a little oil and stir-fry the garlic and chilies until fragrant.

  3. Increase the heat, add the green beans, and stir.

  4. Add the anchovies, then season with stock powder and sugar to taste.

  5. Cook briefly on high heat, taste and adjust seasoning, then remove from heat and serve.

Tips

  1. Pat the green beans dry with kitchen tissue to maintain their green color and crispness when cooked.
