Spicy Shrimp and Petai Stir-Fry
Ingredients
- 400 grams shrimp
- 4 mature petai pods
- approximately 50 ml water
Spice paste
- 10 shallots
- 3 cloves garlic
- 10 curly red chilies
- 15 red bird's eye chilies
- 1/2 teaspoon shrimp paste
- 1 tomato
- Salt to taste
- Sugar to taste
- Mushroom seasoning (optional)
Preparation
Grind the spice paste ingredients into a fine paste.
Heat a little oil in a pan and sauté the spice paste until fragrant and cooked.
Add the petai beans and stir briefly.
Add the shrimp and stir until well combined.
Add salt, sugar, and optional mushroom seasoning to taste.
Add approximately 50 ml of water.
Cook until the shrimp is done and the spices are absorbed.
Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
Serve.
