Shrimp and Petai Sambal

Ingredients

  • 400 grams shrimp
  • 4 pieces aged petai beans
  • 50 ml water approximately

Spice paste

  • 10 shallots
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 10 curly red chilies
  • 15 red bird's eye chilies
  • 1/2 teaspoon shrimp paste
  • 1 tomato
  • Salt to taste
  • Sugar to taste
  • Mushroom seasoning (optional)

Preparation

  1. Stir-fry the spice paste with a little oil until fragrant and cooked.

  2. Add the petai and stir briefly.

  3. Add the shrimp and stir until even.

  4. Season with salt, sugar, and optional mushroom seasoning.

  5. Add a little water.

  6. Cook until done and the spices are absorbed.

  7. Check the taste and serve.
