Spicy Stir-Fried Bitter Melon with Shrimp
Ingredients
- 3 bitter melons
- 100 grams shrimp
- 1 teaspoon powdered stock
- 1.5 tablespoons granulated sugar
- Salt to taste
- Cooking oil as needed
Ground spices
- 15 curly red chilies
- 3 shallots
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1/4 tomato
Preparation
Prepare a container, add 2 teaspoons salt, then massage the bitter melon until wilted, let it sit for about 10 minutes, then wash clean and drain.
Heat a little cooking oil, then stir-fry shrimp until color changes, remove and set aside.
Then, heat cooking oil and stir-fry the ground spices until fragrant and cooked.
Next, add bitter melon, salt, powdered stock, sugar, and water. Stir until well mixed. Cook until boiling.
After boiling, add shrimp, stir well. Cook until spices are absorbed and water reduces.
Taste, if it's right, remove from heat and serve warm.
Notes
Bitter melon is slightly bitter but good for health. This is suitable for a family meal.
