Baked Apricot Puff Pastry Squares
Ingredients
- 1 package puff pastry squares
- 1/2 cup apricot jam
- 1/2 cup dried apricots, halved
- 1 large egg yolk
- 2 teaspoons milk
For serving
- Fine sugar
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 190°C and prepare a shallow-rimmed baking sheet.
Cut the puff pastry into 4 small squares.
Spread a thin layer of jam on each piece of dough, then place a piece of apricot and seal the opposite sides well.
In a small bowl, whisk the egg yolk and milk.
Using a small brush, spread a light layer of the egg and milk mixture on the surface of the dough.
Bake for 7-10 minutes until golden brown, then sprinkle with some fine sugar and serve cold.
