Baked Bosnian Manti Dumplings

Ingredients

Dough

  • 2.5 cups warm water
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 kg flour (add controlled)

Filling

  • 300g ground meat
  • 2 onions
  • salt
  • black pepper

For brushing

  • 200g melted butter

For topping

  • 1 bowl garlic yogurt

Preparation

  1. Put the dough ingredients in a kneading bowl and knead until it does not stick.

  2. Divide the dough into 4 pieces, cover, and let rest for 40 minutes while melting the butter.

  3. Grate the onions and add them to the ground meat for the filling.

  4. Add salt and black pepper to the filling and mix well.

  5. Take the dough to a work surface, stretch it with hands, brush with the melted butter, and enlarge it.

  6. Place the filling along the edges and roll into a log shape.

  7. Cut or tear into 2-3 cm pieces, seal the edges underneath, and place on a baking tray.

  8. Bake in a 200-degree oven until golden brown.

  9. After removing from the oven, let it cool slightly, then drizzle with garlic yogurt and serve.
