Baked Tofu Fingers for Babies

Ingredients

  • 180g tofu
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried herbs

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.

  2. While the oven is preheating, wrap the tofu in a kitchen towel or paper towel and press a heavy object on top.

  3. Let sit for 10 minutes to drain out some of the water.

  4. Remove the kitchen towel and slice the tofu into fingers.

  5. Place the tofu in an oven-proof dish and toss with the lemon juice, olive oil, and herbs.

  6. Place in the oven and cook for 10 minutes.

  7. Turn the tofu fingers and place back in the oven for another 10 minutes until golden brown.

Tips

  1. Tofu does not need to be cooked and can be given to your baby raw if preferred.

  2. Alternatives for seasoning include olive oil only, olive oil and paprika, or olive oil and cumin.
