Chocolate Brownies with Mini Eggs
Ingredients
- 80g self raising flour
- 50g sugar
- 50g margarine
- 2 tbsp apple puree
- 2 heaped tbsp cocoa powder
- 2 tbsp dark chocolate chips (or any chocolate)
- 2 handfuls Cadbury Mini Eggs (or any chocolate)
Preparation
Pre-heat your oven to 180C, 350F, or gas mark 4.
Put the butter and sugar into a large bowl and mix until smooth and creamy.
Add all of the other ingredients into the bowl and crush some of the Mini Eggs.
Stir well with a spoon; the texture should be very thick and sticky.
Line a shallow oven-proof dish or tray with baking parchment.
Pour the mixture into the dish and bake for 15-20 minutes until cracked on top and soft in the middle. It will continue to cook after removing from the oven.
Tips
For a vegan version, ensure margarine is dairy-free and substitute Mini Eggs with dark chocolate chunks or nuts.
For gluten-free, use gluten-free flour; Mini Eggs are gluten-free.
