Chocolate Brownies with Mini Eggs

Ingredients

  • 80g self raising flour
  • 50g sugar
  • 50g margarine
  • 2 tbsp apple puree
  • 2 heaped tbsp cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp dark chocolate chips (or any chocolate)
  • 2 handfuls Cadbury Mini Eggs (or any chocolate)

Preparation

  1. Pre-heat your oven to 180C, 350F, or gas mark 4.

  2. Put the butter and sugar into a large bowl and mix until smooth and creamy.

  3. Add all of the other ingredients into the bowl and crush some of the Mini Eggs.

  4. Stir well with a spoon; the texture should be very thick and sticky.

  5. Line a shallow oven-proof dish or tray with baking parchment.

  6. Pour the mixture into the dish and bake for 15-20 minutes until cracked on top and soft in the middle. It will continue to cook after removing from the oven.

Tips

  1. For a vegan version, ensure margarine is dairy-free and substitute Mini Eggs with dark chocolate chunks or nuts.

  2. For gluten-free, use gluten-free flour; Mini Eggs are gluten-free.
