Chocolate-Filled Strip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 125 grams butter, softened at room temperature
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup starch (corn or potato)
  • 1 egg
  • 2.5 cups sifted flour (adjust based on brand)
  • Optional: very little vanilla or lemon zest

Preparation

  1. Mix the butter and powdered sugar together.

  2. Add the remaining ingredients in order to form a soft dough.

  3. Roll out the dough between sheets of baking paper.

  4. Shape the dough with a fork, or cut it with a glass or mold as desired.

  5. Bake in a preheated oven at 170 degrees Celsius for 15-20 minutes.

  6. After cooling, spread chocolate spread between the cookies.

  7. The cookies are ready to serve.
