Fudgy Oreo Brownies

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 grade A eggs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 15-20 Oreo cookies, coarsely broken with cream

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 160°C.

  2. Sift the dry ingredients except Oreos into a bowl and set aside.

  3. Mix vegetable oil and sugar in a large container and whisk until combined.

  4. Add eggs and vanilla extract, and stir until even.

  5. Add the dry ingredients and stir gently without overmixing.

  6. Add 3/4 of the Oreo pieces to the batter and stir until evenly distributed.

  7. Pour the batter into a 9x9 inch baking tray lined with parchment paper.

  8. Sprinkle the remaining Oreo pieces on top of the batter.

  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with no liquid attached, but do not overbake to keep it fudgy.

  10. Cool before cutting and serve.

Tips

  1. Use whole Oreo cookies broken into pieces rather than pre-crumbled Oreos for better results.
