Kunafa Bird's Nest Dessert

Ingredients

  • 500 grams knafeh dough
  • 1 cup whole pistachios
  • 2 cups melted ghee
  • 2 cups sugar syrup

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan

  2. Mix knafeh dough with melted ghee until well coated

  3. Press half of the mixture into the bottom of the pan

  4. Spread the whole pistachios evenly over the layer

  5. Top with the remaining knafeh mixture and press down firmly

  6. Bake for 30-40 minutes until golden brown and crispy

  7. Remove from oven and immediately pour sugar syrup over the hot kunafa

  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving
