Peanut Butter and Almonds Banana Bread Toast

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed (around 280 g)
  • 1 egg
  • 150 g brown sugar
  • 150 g applesauce
  • 280 g all-purpose flour
  • 10 g baking powder

Toppings

  • banana bread slices
  • peanut butter (or any nut butter)
  • almonds or other nuts you like
  • shredded coconut

Preparation

  1. In a large bowl, beat the egg with the sugar.

  2. Add the applesauce to the egg mixture and combine it well.

  3. Next, add the pre-sieved flour and the baking powder, and mix it thoroughly.

  4. Add the mashed bananas into the bowl.

  5. Preheat your oven to 180°C.

  6. Line your banana bread pan with some parchment paper.

  7. Pour the mixture in and spread it evenly across the pan.

  8. Bake for 50 minutes to 1 hour, until it's fully cooked.

  9. Bring it out of the oven and set it on a rack to cool down.

Toast assembly

  1. You can toast the banana bread or have it as it is.

  2. Spread some of that delicious peanut butter.

  3. Add some crushed almonds on top and some coconut flakes.
