Chocolate & Peanut Butter Banana Bread Waffles
Ingredients
- 1 ripe banana (mashed)
- 1 egg/1 flax egg
- 100 g flour
- Pinch of baking powder
- Cacao nibs (or chocolate chips)
- 10 g shredded coconut
- Splash of milk or water
- Banana slices
- Peanut butter
- Additional cacao nibs for toppings
Preparation
Mash the ripe banana using a fork.
Beat the egg (or flax egg) in a bowl.
Add the mashed banana, flour, baking powder, cacao nibs (or chocolate chips), shredded coconut, and a splash of milk or water to the bowl.
Mix all the ingredients until well combined to form the waffle batter.
Heat the waffle maker.
If desired, grease the waffle maker with a small amount of oil or butter to prevent sticking.
Using a spoon, pour the waffle batter onto the heated waffle maker.
Close the waffle maker and cook until the waffles turn golden-brown.
Once cooked, remove the waffles from the waffle maker and place them on a plate.
Top the waffles with banana slices, peanut butter, and additional cacao nibs.
