Sweet and Salty Roasted Chickpeas

Ingredients

  • 1 15oz can garbanzo beans (chickpeas)
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1/2 tbsp oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 375F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Rinse and use a towel to gently dry the chickpeas. Place them on the baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes, tossing halfway through.

  3. Mix the other ingredients in a bowl, toss the chickpeas to coat after they have baked for 40 minutes. Return them to the oven for another 10-15 minutes until crunchy.

  4. Remove from oven and let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before munching.

Notes

  1. This is a much cheaper option than buying a $5+ snack bag of seasoned chickpeas and contains no weird additives.

  2. It is an easy snack with 3 minute prep time that includes protein, fat, carbs, and fiber.
