Vegan Cinnamon Rolls

Ingredients

  • 1. Prep Dough
  • Mix the following
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup melted vegan butter
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • Then, sprinkle 1/2 packet of active dry yeast on top
  • Let it sit for 1 minute, then mix in
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • Mix just until combined, cover bowl with plastic wrap & set aside for 1 hour to let it rise
  • Step 2. Prep Filling Ingredients
  • 1/3 cup softened butter
  • 1/2-2/3 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp cinnamon

Preparation

  1. Make the Roll

  2. Roll Dough onto floured surface into 1/2 inch thick rectangle

  3. Spread softened vegan butter, then sugar, then cinnamon

  4. Roll dough into a log & slice into 6 pinwheels

  5. Put pinwheels into baking dish

  6. I use a round pie dish or casserole dish. Make sure the rolls are all touching each other but there’s room for them to grow (they will double in size!) cover the dish with plastic wrap, let sit for 30 min to 1 hour

  7. Remove plastic wrap, bake for about 30-35 min on 350

  8. Serve with Homemade Vegan Cream Cheese Icing

  10. Ounce package of vegan cream cheese

  11. Cups confectioners sugar

  12. Cup softened vegan butter

  13. Mix with electric hand mixer
