Vegan Cinnamon Bread

Ingredients

  • 250g whole wheat flour or all purpose flour
  • 20g or half of a instant yeast cube
  • 125ml plant milk (heat up the plant milk)
  • pinch of salt
  • 2-3 teespoons of date sugar & more to sprinkle on top of bread after baked
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup
  • 50g vegan butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract ➖

Preparation

  1. Simply, put in a bowl the flour and dig a little hollow in the middle of the flour to place the crumbled yeast in it

  2. Add 1 teaspoon of sugar and the milk

  3. Set aside and let it rest for 15 minutes

  4. After that add a pinch of salt another teaspoon of sugar, the melted vegan butter, the vanilla extract and the maply syrup

  5. Now, just use a hand mixer to kneet and form the dough

  6. Set aside again and let it rest for around 35-45 minutes

  7. After the dough has risen, simply cut it into even slices like you would cut a slice of bread and brush a bit of melted vegan butter on top of the slices

  8. Next, place the dough on parchment baking paper and let it bake in the oven for around 40 minutes at 170C°

  9. After baked, mix some cinnamon and sugar together on a plate and sprinkle the mixture on top of the baked bread
