Vegan Waffles with Maple Cinnamon Apples
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup buckwheat flour
- 1 banana
- 2 tablespoons ground flax seeds
- 2 scoops vegan strawberry jam protein powder
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- Pinch of salt
- 2 cups liquid (such as almond milk and water)
Preparation
Mash the banana in a bowl, then add the almond milk and ground flax seeds first.
Next, add the flour, protein powder, baking powder, and cinnamon. Add the extra cup of liquid as needed while stirring in the dry ingredients.
Add the mixture to a waffle iron and cook for 3-5 minutes.
While waffles are cooking, prepare the apples: cut up a mini gala apple and toss with cinnamon and 2 tablespoons of maple syrup.
Top the waffles with raw creamy almond butter and vegan chocolate chips.
