Cashew Mac and Cheese Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cashews
  • 4 tbsp nutritional yeast
  • 3 tbsp corn flour
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 cup cold water
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Optional: green peas, chilli flakes

Preparation

  1. Soak cashews in cold water for a few hours, then drain and rinse.

  2. In a food processor, blend all the ingredients together.

  3. Heat the sauce in a pan over medium heat.

  4. Pour over cooked pasta or vegetables.
