Refreshing Jaggery Mint Lemon Summer Drink
Ingredients
- 4.5 cups water
- 2 tsp loose tea leaves or 2 tea bags
- 1/3 cup jaggery
- 2-3 mint leaves
- 1/4 piece ginger
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 sprigs rosemary
Preparation
In a large pan, add water, ginger, and tea leaves; bring to a boil until desired color and flavor is achieved, then remove from heat.
Add jaggery and lemon juice; mix well until fully incorporated.
Add mint leaves and rosemary sprigs.
Strain the mixture using a strainer.
Transfer to a pitcher or serve directly in glasses filled with ice, garnished with fresh mint leaves, rosemary sprigs, and lime slices.
Note: This drink is healthy and can be stored in the fridge for later use. Jaggery is a natural sweetener rich in minerals like iron, magnesium, phosphorus, and potassium, which help replenish those lost through sweating in summer.
