Simple Jaggery Herbal Tea Drink

Ingredients

  • 4.5 cups water
  • 2 teaspoons tea leaves or 2 tea bags
  • 1/3 cup jaggery
  • 2-3 mint leaves
  • 1/4 piece ginger
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 sprigs rosemary

Preparation

  1. In a large pan, add water, ginger, and tea leaves. Bring to a boil until desired color and flavor are achieved, then remove from heat.

  2. Add jaggery and lemon juice, and mix well.

  3. Add mint leaves and rosemary sprigs.

  4. Strain the tea using a strainer.

  5. Transfer to a pitcher or serve in glasses with ice, fresh mint leaves, rosemary sprigs, and lime slices.
