Refreshing Raspberry Pomegranate Iced Tea

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup pomegranates
  • 1/3 cup raspberries
  • 2 tbsp jaggery
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • 2 tea bags
  • 4 cups water

Optional additions

  • fresh mint
  • rosemary

Preparation

  1. Combine jaggery, tea bags, and half of the water in a small saucepan. Boil on low to medium heat until jaggery dissolves. Let it cool for about 10 minutes, then remove tea bags and transfer to a big pitcher.

  2. Add raspberries and pomegranates to a blender with the remaining water and blend until all chunks are mushed. Strain through a sieve to remove pomegranate seeds, then mix with the jaggery water mixture.

  3. Add fresh mint, lemon juice, and rosemary for extra flavor if desired. Freeze overnight and enjoy.

Tips

  1. You can substitute jaggery with any kind of sugar.
