Homemade Spinach and Chickpeas Hummus

Ingredients

  • 400g (13 oz/2 cups) canned chickpeas, rinsed and drained
  • 60g (2 1/2 oz) spinach
  • 1 tbsp tahini
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small garlic clove
  • About 125ml (4fl oz/1/2 cup) water

Preparation

  1. Place chickpeas, spinach, tahini, lemon juice, and olive oil in a blender.

  2. Grate the garlic clove and blend to a paste, gradually adding water until desired consistency.
