Cacao Energy Bars
Ingredients
- 1/3 cup raw walnuts
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 3 tbsp tahini or peanut butter
- 1 tbsp raw cacao powder
- 1 serving protein of choice
- 1 tbsp coconut oil
- 2 tbsp unsweetened nut or seed milk
- about 1 tsp peanut butter for the swirl
Preparation
Add all ingredients to a food processor and blend well until dough forms
If it’s a little crumbly, add very small increments of nut mylk but keep in mind even the crumbly texture will harden in the fridge
Press the dough into a bread pan or glass dish, about 1/4 inch thick
Use the top of a spoon or a toothpick to swirl the peanut butter over top
Refrigerate for at least 30-45 minutes, and keep stored in fridge (or can be kept in the freezer for freezer fudge)!
