Savoury Pancakes with Idli Batter and Chicken
Ingredients
- idli batter
- salt
- parsley
- onions
- ginger
- garlic
- green chillies
- fresh coriander
- shredded roast chicken
Idli batter
- 1 cup split white urad dal
- 2 cups idli rice
- 2 tbsp flattened rice
- 1/4 tsp fenugreek seeds
Preparation
Mix the idli batter with salt, parsley, onions, ginger, garlic, green chillies, and fresh coriander.
Add the shredded roast chicken to the mixture.
Cook the mixture in a pan to make uttapams (savoury pancakes).
Serve with simple coconut chutney, spiced to your liking.
Batter
Soak the dal and rice separately.
Grind the soaked dal and rice.
Add flattened rice and fenugreek seeds during grinding.
Ferment the batter for 6 hours.
Store in the fridge and use as required.
