Crispy Baked Tofu Preparation
Ingredients
- Tofu
- 1 heaping tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 teaspoons oil or spray oil
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Preparation
Wrap the tofu in a tea towel on a cutting board or a suitable surface, place a baking sheet and a heavy object on top, and leave for at least 2 hours.
Cut the tofu into cubes.
Toss the cubes with cornstarch, oil or spray oil, salt, and pepper.
Bake in a 425°F oven for 25 minutes until golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway through.
After removing from the oven, toss in your favorite sauce.
Tips
Use a cast iron pan or similar heavy object for pressing the tofu.
