Garlic Bread Pizza Dough

Ingredients

  • 1 1/3 cups water
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp cornmeal
  • 3 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1 Tbsp Italian herbs
  • 1 1/2 tsp yeast

Preparation

  1. Start the bread maker on the dough cycle. Watch the dough as it begins to mix and add a tablespoon or two of water if it is too dry. Ensure all the dough mixes into a ball without being too dry or too sticky. The process typically mixes and rises for 1.5 hours.

  2. Divide the dough into two balls and roll or press by hand into a greased pizza baking tray.

  3. Let the dough rise for another 20 minutes.

  4. Brush one tablespoon of sauce or olive oil on each and bake at 200°C for 10 minutes.

  5. Place the remaining toppings on the pizza and bake for a further 15 to 20 minutes or until the bottom crust is golden.

  6. Enjoy.
