Homemade Tater Tots with Spices
Ingredients
- 2-3 large potatoes
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp cayenne
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
Preparation
Peel the potatoes.
Place potatoes in a medium-sized pot and cover with water.
Boil for 10 minutes, then drain and let cool.
Shred the potatoes.
Mix the shredded potatoes with the spices.
Wet your hands and shape the potatoes into small tater tots.
Place the shaped tots onto a lined baking sheet and let sit for a few minutes.
For air frying: Spray with olive oil and air fry in batches for 15 minutes, shaking every 5 minutes.
For oven baking: Preheat oven to 400°F, spray with cooking spray, and bake for 25 minutes, flipping halfway through.
Serve with ketchup or spicy mayo.
Tips
Omit cayenne for a kid-friendly version.
