Apple with Date Caramel and Chocolate
Ingredients
- 1 apple
- 9-12 pitted dates
- 125 g dark chocolate
- Finely chopped almonds
- Pinch of salt
Preparation
Pit the dates and lay them in rows of 3 or 4 on a sheet of baking paper. Place another sheet over it and roll them flat with a rolling pin.
Remove the top baking paper and wrap the date layer around the apple as neatly as possible. Press it firmly so the apple is well covered.
Place the apple in the refrigerator while you melt the chocolate. Then insert a skewer or wooden stick into it.
Melt the chocolate and dip the apple in it. If that doesn't work, spread some melted chocolate over it with a spoon. Finish with finely chopped nuts and a pinch of salt, and refrigerate for 30-60 minutes.
Cut the apple into pieces and enjoy.
Tips
You can use any type of nuts for the topping to add extra crunch.
