Five-Ingredient No-Bake Chocolate Brownies

Ingredients

  • 100 g dark chocolate
  • 200 g soft dates (or fresh medjool dates)
  • 100 g almond butter (or hazelnut or peanut butter)
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1 pinch salt

For decoration

  • Flaky salt, for sprinkling (optional)

Preparation

  1. Line a small baking pan (about 20x30 cm) with parchment paper

  2. Finely chop the chocolate and melt half (about 50g) over a hot water bath

  3. Let the melted chocolate cool slightly

  4. Cut the dates as small as possible

  5. Place the chopped dates, almond butter, cocoa powder, and salt in a blender

  6. Add the melted chocolate and blend until a mass forms

  7. While blending, push the mixture down repeatedly

  8. Blend until the desired consistency is reached; a few date pieces may remain

  9. Transfer the brownie mixture to the pan, spread evenly and press down

  10. Place the pan in the freezer for 15 minutes (or in the refrigerator for 1 hour)

  11. Melt the remaining chopped chocolate for decoration

  12. Cut the chilled brownies into squares and decorate with melted chocolate

  13. Sprinkle with flaky salt if desired

Tips

  1. Store the brownies in the refrigerator for best results

  2. They can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for at least 5 days
