Easy Gluten-Free Fudgy Brownies
Ingredients
- 150 g butter
- 300 g dark chocolate (at least 70% cocoa)
- 70 g ground hazelnuts
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 2 tsp baking powder
- a pinch of salt
- 150 g fine raw sugar
- 3 medium eggs
- butter for greasing the pan
Preparation
Cut the butter into pieces and roughly chop the chocolate
Place the butter and chocolate in a metal bowl and melt over a hot water bath
Stir until smooth, remove from heat and let cool slightly
Lightly grease a 25x30 cm baking dish and line with parchment paper
Preheat the oven to 180°C (convection)
Mix together the ground hazelnuts, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt
Beat the sugar and eggs until foamy
Gradually add the melted butter-chocolate mixture in a thin stream while stirring slowly
Fold in the hazelnut mixture until just combined
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top
Bake for 15-20 minutes in the preheated oven
Let cool in the pan for a few minutes, then lift out and cool completely on a wire rack
Tips
Test for doneness after 15 minutes by inserting a toothpick; if only a few crumbs cling to it, the brownies are done and will be fudgy
