Chocolate and Berry Overnight Oats

Ingredients

  • 50g (1/2 cup) oats
  • 2 tbsp plain, vanilla or chocolate yoghurt
  • 1 handful fresh or frozen berries
  • 1 tsp cocoa powder or drinking chocolate
  • 10 tbsp boiling water
  • 1 tbsp sweetener, sugar, or syrup

Preparation

  1. Put boiling water and oats in a bowl and stir with a spoon to combine.

  2. Leave aside for five minutes to thicken.

  3. Add all of the other ingredients into the bowl and stir with a spoon to combine.

  4. Spoon the mixture into a container with a lid or empty jar, put the lid on, and leave in the fridge overnight or for at least 4 hours. It can also be eaten straight away.

Notes

  1. Use gluten-free oats and dairy-free yoghurt for gluten-free and vegan options.

  2. This recipe is low fat, low sugar, and high fiber, with each serving at 274 calories.
