Crispy Ham and Cheese Cigar Rolls
Ingredients
Dough
- 500ml water
- 250ml milk
- 2 chicken bouillon cubes
- 3 tablespoons butter (or margarine)
- all-purpose flour (as needed)
Filling
- ham (as desired)
- mozzarella cheese (as desired)
Breading
- 1L water
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- breadcrumbs
Preparation
Combine water, milk, salt, chicken bouillon, and butter in a saucepan; mix well
Gradually add flour, stirring constantly, and cook the dough for at least 10 minutes
Transfer the dough to a work surface and knead it (be careful not to burn yourself)
Roll out the dough to about 0.5 cm thickness and try to make it as square as possible
Place filling on half of each dough square, fold the other half over to enclose the filling, and seal the edges with your fingers; trim any excess dough. Repeat with the remaining dough
