Easy Ham and Cheese Croissant Rolls

Ingredients

  • 1 package refrigerated croissant dough (250 g)
  • 1 medium egg
  • 3 slices cooked ham
  • 50 grams Gouda cheese
  • 2 tablespoons milk

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (top and bottom heat; convection: 180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper

  2. Unroll the croissant dough and arrange the pieces on a work surface

  3. Separate the egg and brush each croissant dough piece with egg white

  4. Cover two-thirds of each croissant with ham and place a piece of Gouda cheese on the wide side

  5. Roll the croissants up towards the tip

  6. Whisk the egg yolk with milk and brush the croissants with the mixture

  7. Grate the remaining Gouda cheese over the croissants

  8. Bake for about 20 minutes until golden brown

Tips

  1. Store airtight in the refrigerator for up to 2 days

  2. For a more flavorful cheese, substitute Gruyère for Gouda
