Easy Ham Cheese Croissants with Ready Dough

Ingredients

  • 1 package (250 g) refrigerated croissant dough
  • 1 medium egg
  • 3 slices cooked ham
  • 50 g Gouda cheese
  • 2 tablespoons milk

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C top and bottom heat (convection: 180°C)

  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper

  3. Remove the croissant dough from the roll and arrange the prepared croissant pieces on the work surface

  4. Separate the egg and brush each croissant dough piece with egg white

  5. Cover two-thirds of the croissants with cooked ham and place a piece of Gouda cheese on the wide sides

  6. Roll the ham croissants up towards the tip

  7. Mix the egg yolk with the milk and brush the croissants with the mixture

  8. Grate the remaining Gouda cheese finely over the ham and cheese croissants

  9. Bake the croissants in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes until golden brown

Tips

  1. When stored airtight and refrigerated, the croissants are good for at least 2 days

  2. You can use a spicier cheese like Gruyère instead of Gouda for more flavor
