Easy Garlic and Rosemary Sauce

Ingredients

  • 8 whole peeled garlic cloves
  • 500 ml chicken broth
  • 1 sprig of rosemary
  • 500 ml fresh heavy cream or 300 g sour cream
  • Nutmeg
  • Salt and black pepper

Preparation

  1. Prepare the ingredients by peeling the garlic cloves if not already done

  2. In a saucepan, heat the chicken broth with the garlic cloves over medium heat

  3. Add the sprig of rosemary and bring to a boil, cooking for no more than 5 minutes

  4. Stir in the fresh heavy cream or sour cream and heat gently without boiling

  5. Season with nutmeg, salt, and black pepper to taste

  6. Remove from heat and let the sauce rest for a moment before serving

Tips

  1. Do not boil the rosemary for longer than 5 minutes to keep the sauce mild and prevent it from becoming overpowering

  2. Taste the sauce and adjust seasoning according to your preference for a balanced flavor
