Fresh Blood Orange and Strawberry Salsa
Ingredients
Blood orange salsa
- 1 blood orange
- 1/4 small red onion
- 1/2 jalapeño
- 5 sprigs cilantro
- 2 small roma tomatoes
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- Salt to taste
Strawberry salsa
- 1 pint strawberries
- Zest and juice of 1 lime
- 1/4 red onion
- 1/2 jalapeño
- Handful of cilantro
- 2 tsp maple syrup
- Pinch of garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
Combine all diced ingredients into a bowl.
With a spoon or spatula, gently fold ingredients together.
Adjust salt to preference and toss salsa together once more.
Allow salsa to sit in the fridge for at least 15 minutes before serving.
For strawberry salsa, feel free to remove jalapeño seeds if you prefer milder heat.
