Fried Apple Almond Butter Toast
Ingredients
- 1 apple (I like gala)
- 1 tsp coconut oil
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp cardamom
- 2 slices whole wheat bread
- 2 tbsp almond butter
- 2 tsp maple syrup to drizzle
Preparation
Cut the apple into bite-sized cubes. Add to a frying pan with 1 teaspoon coconut oil and heat to medium-high. Sprinkle with cinnamon and cardamom, and cook, stirring often, until warmed and softened, about 5-10 minutes.
Toast two slices of whole wheat bread and spread with almond butter. Top with the fried apples and drizzle with maple syrup.
