Fried Apple and Almond Butter Toast
Ingredients
- 1 apple (I like gala)
- 1 tsp coconut oil
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp cardamom
- 2 slices whole wheat bread
- 2 tbsp almond butter
- 2 tsp maple syrup to drizzle
Preparation
Begin by cutting apple into bite sized cubes. Add to a frying pan with 1 tsp coconut oil and bring to medium-high heat. Sprinkle with cinnamon and cardamom and cook apples, stirring often until warmed and softened, approximately 5-10 minutes.
Toast two slices of whole wheat bread and spread with almond butter. Top the toast with fried apple and drizzle with maple syrup.
