Fried Apple and Almond Butter Toast
Ingredients
- 1 apple (Gala)
- 1 tsp coconut oil
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp cardamom
- 2 slices whole wheat bread
- 2 tbsp almond butter
- 2 tsp maple syrup
Preparation
Cut the apple into bite-sized cubes and add to a frying pan with 1 tsp coconut oil. Bring to medium-high heat, sprinkle with cinnamon and cardamom, and cook the apples, stirring often, until warmed and softened (about 5 to 10 minutes).
Toast two slices whole wheat bread and lather with almond butter. Top toast with fried apple and drizzle with maple syrup.
